Welcome to Chai at NSCI

Celebrating Jewish Family Life Together:  opportunities for families with young children created for and by families with young children.

Friday evenings @ 5:30 pm
Shabbat Yeladim
A Shabbat Celebration for Families with young children Songs and Stories, Puppets and Prayer, Friends and Fun!
through August 15 on the front lawn of NSCI (inside if it rains)
Bring family & friends, a blanket & picnic dinner.  We'll provide dessert!

Sing along with Chai at NSCI!
Join us at Ravinia for a Family Fun Night as the CSO plays "the Best of Broadway".  We'll be there by 4:00 pm.  Concert starts at 5:00 pm.  (Park opens at 3:00 - check out the instrument petting zoo.)  Meet us on the North Lawn; look for blue balloons and Chai at NSCI banner.  Bring your own dinner.  We'll bring dessert.  For more information or to RSVP, please call the synagogue office.


Chai feeds the hungry!
On Wednesday, August 27th (4-7 pm), Chai @ NSCI will cook and serve at the Beth Emet Soup Kitchen in Evanston. Do a family mitzvah! Parents and children come together for this wonderful opportunity to serve the community. Children must be older than 5. Volunteering involves shopping in advance and preparing tables and food, greeting, serving and cleaning up that day. Space is limited.
